45th Annual Grammy Awards (2003)
The 45th Annual Grammy Awards took place at Madison Square Garden in 2003. It was an emotional return to New York City after the 9/11 attacks. Bob created a fantastic open design that allowed the scenery to change the looks of each artist who performed. Built and supervised in LA, trucked across the country to NYC, and stood up over two weeks before the live airing.

60th Golden Globe Awards (2003)
The Hollywood Foreign Press, Dick Clark Productions, and NBC presented the 60th Annual Golden Globe Awards as a live television event on NBC in 2003. The award honors the best in both film and television for 2002. I loved how this show looked. With its floating-lit ceiling units, it immediately impacted when you walked into the room and on television.

ABC’s 50th Anniversary
ABC Network hosted a live televised event for their 50th Anniversary—a retrospective showcasing clips from past and current shows at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Bob had built a model with shifting wall panels and challenging teasers. The rear projection screen units were three-sided, each side set for the following introduction with set decoration, tracked and rotated on stage. The red-carpet arrivals that had us redirect traffic on Hollywood Boulevard were a significant component of this live event.
